1. Open the filter compartment in the upper right corner of the ice storage bin.
2. Attach the filter wrench and twist the old cartridge a quarter-turn counterclockwise, then pull it out.
3. Remove the protective cap from the new filter (check that the O-rings are still seated after unpackaging).
4. Line up the locking lugs and insert the new filter into the housing.
5. Turn clockwise a quarter-turn until it locks — if it's not fully locked, the machine won't produce ice, so make sure you feel it click.
6. Close the compartment door.
7. Discard the first batch or two of ice to flush out air and loose carbon.
