Swapping it out takes about five minutes
- Turn off the fridge's water line.
- Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise and pull it out.
- Pop the cap off the new filter — a tiny dab of vegetable oil on the O-rings helps it seat smoothly.
- Push it into the housing, then twist a quarter-turn clockwise until it clicks.
- Turn the water line back on.
- Run the dispenser for 3–5 minutes to clear out air and loose carbon (some sputtering at the start is normal, don't worry about it).
- Hold the filter reset button until the light clears.
