How Do You Install It?

1. Open the upper chamber of your Berkey system.
2. Place a washer and wing nut on each element stem.
3. Push each element through the holes in the upper chamber.
4. Tighten the wing nuts by hand until snug.
5. Prime each element with the priming button before first use, to clear air from the pores.
6. Fill the upper chamber with water and let it filter through.

Is It Tested for Safety?

Yes. Independent, accredited labs have tested the Black Berkey BB9-2 to exceed NSF/ANSI Standard 53 protocol for contaminant reduction. These elements are made and assembled in the USA.
