How to Install Your New Water Filter You can complete this by yourself in just a few simple steps:

   Turn off the main water line valve connected to your refrigerator.

   Find the filter housing slot inside the fridge.

   Twist the old filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise and pull it straight down to remove it. (Don't worry, the water will shut off automatically).

   Push the new filter straight up into the slot until it stops.

   Twist the new filter 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks firmly into place.

   Turn the main water line valve back on.
