Why Replace Your Refrigerator Water Filter?

Over time, refrigerator water filters can become less effective as they collect filtered particles. Replacing the filter on schedule helps maintain water quality and consistent dispenser performance.

LG recommends checking your refrigerator model and existing filter before purchasing because LG refrigerators use different filter models.

Easy Filter Replacement

The LG LT500P filter design allows for simple replacement. Remove the old cartridge, install the new filter according to your refrigerator's instructions, and flush the water system before use. LG's instructions specify dispensing approximately 2.5 gallons of water after replacement to remove trapped air and contaminants from the system.
