How to Install Your New Refrigerator Water Filter
You can install this filter yourself in just a few minutes. No extra tools are required:
Turn off the main water line valve connected to the refrigerator.
Find the filter housing slot inside the fridge (usually at the bottom or back).
Twist the old filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise and pull it straight out.
Remove the protective red cap from the new filter.
Align the arrows, push the new filter straight into the slot, and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks firmly.
Turn the main water line valve back on.
Flush the system: Dispense water continuously for about 3 to 5 minutes. This clears out trapped air bubbles and loose carbon dust. (Sputtering at first is normal).
Press and hold the Filter Reset button on your fridge panel to reset the change indicator light.
