How to Install Your New Refrigerator Water Filter

You do not need any tools to replace this filter. Just follow these simple steps:

Turn off the main water supply line to the refrigerator.

Find the filter housing inside the fridge. Twist the old filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise and pull it straight out.

Take off the plastic cap from the new filter. Apply a tiny drop of vegetable oil to the rubber O-rings for a smooth seal.

Push the new filter straight into the housing slot.

Turn the filter 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks firmly into place.

Turn the main water supply line back on.

Flush the system: Run water through the dispenser for 3 to 5 minutes to clear out loose carbon and air trapped in the lines. (A little sputtering at first is completely normal).

Press and hold the Filter Reset button on your fridge panel to reset the light indicator.
